Committed to Our Community
Operation Backpack • From the short video above, you can see the labor of love that goes into our yearly contribution to Operation Backpack. We started supporting Operation Backpack nearly five years ago. In 2018, we were able to provide 500 students in Burlington County, more than double from the year before, with backpacks filled with school essentials.
Quarterly Food Bank Aid • Our team takes afternoons off from the job site regularly to volunteer for South Jersey Food Bank at their facility.
Each year, The Painting & Wallcovering Company participates in a wide variety of projects to aid our community.
Supporting Local Sports & the Arts • The P&W sponsors local sports teams including soccer, wrestling and baseball teams in Shamong and Tabernacle Townships, as well as Seneca High School and Rider University. In addition, The P&W gladly supports local theatre productions and performances.
Thanksgiving • Each year we partner with the Shamong Diner and our local schools to provide complete Thanksgiving dinner for local families in need.
Christmas • Each winter The P&W works through local organizations to “adopt” a family in need during the holidays as well assisting internationally in Operation Christmas Child with Samaritan’s Purse.
Project R-152 • We work closely with Project R-152, a local non-profit organization committed to doing for our neighbor. Last year they gave nearly $10,000 in scholarship awards. Some of their scholarships include,
The Selfless Impact Award – “My plan to impact the world for the good of others.”
Project R-152 Trade School Award – “The importance of the trade industry in today’s world and my future role in it.”
William F. Umbehauer Sr Memorial Scholarship – Typically given to a local graduating student who has overcome some type of adversity.
